Riviera is a personal styling service. This policy covers the Riviera website, apps and emails, and explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
If you have only joined our waitlist, we hold just your email address.
With your permission, Riviera reads your Google or Microsoft (Outlook, Hotmail or Microsoft 365) email, read-only, to build your closet. We search only for purchase, shipping, return and refund receipts; anything that turns out not to be a receipt is discarded and nothing from it is kept. From each receipt we keep the order details — store, order number, date and items — and the sender and subject line, not a copy of the email. We never send, delete or change anything in your mailbox. You can disconnect at any time in Riviera, in your Google Account, or in your Microsoft account's app permissions.
To build your closet, style you, personalise recommendations, check and improve the quality of our styling, and operate and secure Riviera. When you buy through our links we may earn a commission; the retailer learns only that the sale came from Riviera.
Service providers who help us run Riviera — cloud hosting and storage, AI services, photo services, email delivery and weather — under contract and only as needed to provide the service. Receipt emails are read only by Google's own AI service. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or as part of a business transfer.
Riviera's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from your Google email is used only to provide and improve the features you see in Riviera; is not used for advertising or sold; is not read by people except with your agreement, for security, or as the law requires; and is not used to develop, improve or train generalised AI models. Email from a Microsoft account is handled under the same limits.
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete my account & data: it is deleted straight away and our access to your Google or Microsoft email ends. Copies in backups expire within 60 days. We may keep limited records where needed for accounting, security or legal reasons.
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, private storage and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell it or share it for advertising. Write to mila@itsriviera.com; we will verify your identity first. Riviera is offered in the United States only.
Riviera is not intended for anyone under 18.
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here. We will tell you about material changes.
